The department of Infection Prevention and Control encourages everyone to keep applying the routine practices of hand hygiene, proper use of PPE, equipment cleaning, and the appropriate admission screening of all patients. Please set an example for staff and students and assist us by maintaining compliance and due diligence.

At the beginning of January, we launched our first monthly health and wellness challenge. As part of the challenge, staff were encouraged to submit their favourite songs. From these songs we promised a Top 10 list. However, due to the number of submissions we have created a Top 40 list instead! So get ready to update your playlists.
In no particular order, here is TBRHSC’s Top 40 songs.
Thank you to everyone who participated! Keep an eye out for the announcement of our February Health and Wellness Challenge on Informed.

Thursday January 26, there is a concrete pour scheduled to support the construction of the new PET-CT suite in the Diagnostic Imaging (DI) department. This concrete pour is expected to be conducted between 6:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.
There will be piping running on the floor through the DI department to bring the concrete to the construction site. Staff that need to access the department that evening should do so from the C hallway, by the G door, that enters by the MRI suites. Patients checking in at the DI desk will also be asked to access the department off the C corridor as well.
Thank you in advance for your patience and support in realizing this capital project.
