Announcement – Andrea Docherty, Director, Regional Cancer Care Northwest

It is with mixed emotions I announce that Andrea Docherty has resigned from her position at Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre (TBRHSC) as Director, Regional Cancer Care Northwest. Her final day with TBRHSC is March 7, 2022.

Andrea joined TBRHSC in 2012 as the Manager, Outpatient Nursing & Clinic Operations. In 2014, she took on the role as Director, Regional Cancer Care Northwest. Since assuming the role as Director, Andrea has lead the formation and execution of the Regional Cancer Plan 4 and she lead the implementation of MOSAIQ, a large-scale electronic medical record project with the goal to improve patient care and safety, across Northwestern Ontario.

I take this opportunity to thank Andrea for her many contributions. Please join me in wishing Andrea well in her future endeavors at Ontario Health North.

Recruitment to fill the Director, Regional Cancer Care Northwest position is underway. In the interim, David McConnell will provide leadership coverage as the Interim Director.
