Are you and your family ready to face an emergency such as a blizzard, wildfire, or power outage? Do you have an emergency plan and an emergency kit to be self-sufficient for at least three days following a disaster?
Be ready, not reactive.
If you’re unsure how to answer those questions, we’re here to help! TBRHSC’s Emergency Preparedness department is collaborating with our local Canadian Red Cross to promote personal preparedness to our Hospital workers and community members during Fire Prevention Week (October 6 to 12).
Information Booth – Canadian Red Cross volunteers will be onsite with an information booth on Monday (in the afternoon by Seasons Gift Shop), Wednesday (in the morning by Seasons Gift Shop) and Friday (in the morning at the bottom of the Grand Staircase & after hours by Seasons Gift Shop).
“Be Ready” Presentation – Canadian Red Cross volunteers will provide a presentation entitled “Be Ready” on Wednesday October 9 from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. in Room 2171.
Workers who stop by the booth or attend the “Be Ready” lunchtime talk will be entered into a draw for a chance to win one of four gifts cards!
By failing to prepare, you are preparing to fail.
