This August, for Appendix Cancer Awareness Month, Hannah Deley will be working with Kate from Waxxed Candle Co. to raise money and awareness for young cancer patients here in Ontario. TOUGH LADY #DELEYSTRONG candles will be available for purchase throughout the month of August. 100 percent of the proceeds will be donated to our Cancer Center at Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre (TBRHSC).💜

Hannah is a 25-year-old woman, who currently works as a Phlebotomist in the Laboratory here at TBRHSC. After months of abdominal scans, lab work, one laparoscopic surgery, and one colonoscopy, she was diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic appendiceal adenocarcinoma. October 28, 2023, is a day that she will never forget; the day she started her battle with this aggressive and rare form of cancer.

Hannah will be selling her candles on Thursday, August 23, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. across from Season’s Gift Shop inside of TBRHSC’s main lobby.
