A VRE outbreak has been declared on surgical unit 3C at Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre.

The hospital currently has 1 unit in VRE outbreak:

• Surgical unit 3C

Precautions are in place to protect patients and their families, staff, and visitors. Each unit is being screened and monitored for further VRE transmission and notice will be sent when the outbreak is declared over.
