Exercise regularly. Exercise is good for both your body and your mental health. Try to get 15 to 30 minutes of exercise daily. Exercise can help to reduce symptoms of anxiety and depression by:

  • Increasing neurotransmitter activity
  • Improving self-esteem
  • Releasing stored energy
  • Providing a distraction or coping mechanism
  • Creating opportunities for social interaction
