Infection Prevention and Control (IPAC) would like to recognize our Hand Hygiene Champions for June and July.
June Hand Hygiene Champion – Leanne Anderson
Congratulation to Leanne Anderson of 1C. She has worked at TBRHSC for 32 years and has formed the good habit of hand hygiene, making it an automatic routine in work day. She believes hand hygiene is important to prevent the spread of infection to our patients, especially vulnerable babies on her unit. She also wants to ensure she keeps herself safe.

July Hand Hygiene Champion – Isotena Rahim
Congratulations to our July Champion, Isotena Rahim of 2A. She has worked as an RPN for three years at TBRHSC and always remembers the moments of hand hygiene and its importance in her role. She accesses the IPAC team when required and attends their information sessions. She see hand hygiene as an important way to promote her patients safety, decrease risks for hospital-acquired infections and prevent outbreaks.
