We are pleased to announce that Dr. Arianne St. Jacques has been appointed to the role of Chief of Psychiatry effective August 22, 2026.
After graduating from NOSM University and completing her residency at University of Toronto, Dr. St. Jacques joined Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre in 2017 as a member of the Department of Psychiatry. During her time, she has consistently contributed to the department both clinically, academically and administratively.
Dr. St. Jacques’ past leadership experience includes Medical Lead of the Child & Adolescent Mental Health Unit at TBRHSC, and as the Competence Committee Chair for NOSM University Psychiatry Residency Program. Her clinical practice also includes a position with the Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Services at St. Joseph’s Care Group. Through these roles she has demonstrated an ongoing commitment to quality patient care, academics and collaborative practice.
Dr. St. Jacques has been an Assistant Professor at NOSM University since 2018, having received the Clinical Teacher Award in 2024-25 for excellence in clinical teaching/supervision skills. She is highly engaged in academic practice as a peer reviewer on grants and manuscripts, having written publications, delivered presentations and as a co-investigator on research projects.
