We are excited to be launching the HSO Global Workforce Survey on Monday, June 9, 2025.
In previous years, two surveys were required to be completed as part of Accreditation Canada requirements; the Patient Safety Culture Survey and the Worklife Pulse Tool. However, this time around we only need to complete one survey for Accreditation as the two tools have been combined into one survey instrument.
The HSO Global Workforce Survey was developed in order to hear your valuable feedback on key aspects of our safety culture and working conditions. Furthermore, it will provide our organization with actionable results to support learning and opportunities for improvement related to staff life-work quality, as well as quality and safety of patient care.
Please know, this survey is completely anonymous. The survey has been designed specifically so that no information directly identifying staff is gathered, and only group level findings are reported (for groups of five or more respondents).

Come see us at the Staff Appreciation BBQ on Thursday, June 12, 2025 (11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.) and visit the HSO Global Workforce Survey booth for further information on the survey, along with some treats and swag! Please bring your smartphone as this booth, along with others, will be interactive.

Need a laptop or dedicated space?
We have dedicated space and equipment for staff to complete the survey, the following dates have been booked in Auditorium B (1:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.):
- June 17and 24
- July 8 and 15
Note: The survey closes on Friday, July 18, 2025. However, if the minimum response rate of 50% is not achieved, the survey will remain open.
What will we do with the survey results?
Results from the survey will be shared with staff and professional staff in fall 2025. From there we will work with you to identify how we can make improvements so you feel supported and you want to work, grow and thrive, in an environment that provides safe and quality care. We will also celebrate areas where we are excelling and notable areas where both patients and staff safety are captivating.
