This wellness presentation, titled “Managing Stress During the Holidays” focuses on equipping participants with effective tools to handle the stress often associated with the holidays. Key topics include the importance of self-care practices, such as maintaining a healthy lifestyle and prioritizing rest, along with setting realistic goals to reduce overwhelm. Participants will learn to cope with common stressors, plan ahead to minimize last-minute pressures, and establish personal boundaries to maintain balance. Additionally, mindfulness techniques like meditation and deep breathing will be introduced to help attendees stay present and cultivate inner peace. By applying these strategies, participants can navigate the holiday season with greater ease and joy.

Erin Montelpare is a Counsellor/Psychotherapist with Thunder Bay Counselling, the provider of our Employee and Family Assistance Program.  She is a mental health professional that takes a holistic approach to health and well-being. With a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology, Erin has a passion for helping others and believes that mental health is integral to overall wellness. Erin incorporates CBT and mindfulness-based strategies into her wellness philosophy. She enjoys sharing her knowledge with others. When she’s not working, Erin loves spending time outdoors, and connecting with her community.
