Access to menstrual products is essential to upholding sexual and reproductive health and rights in Canada. Students at the Northern Ontario School of Medicine University (NOSMU) are hoping to raise funds to purchase menstrual pads for Muskrat Dam Lake First Nation, a fly-in, Indigenous community, 900 km north of Thunder Bay. The 120 people of reproductive age who are living in this remote area need your assistance with combating period poverty, the inadequate access to menstrual hygiene products.
They are halfway to their goal of $5100, and with your support, each person will receive a menstrual kit, containing five reusable, eco-friendly menstrual pads handmade from local Canadian businesses.
