Roots to Harvest’s Tomato Sales: TODAY, 11am-1pm

Roots to Harvest is back selling their popular tomato plants at our Hospital. On Thursday, June 2nd from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, three types of tomato plants will be for sale in the courtyard outside of the cafeteria. These plants always sell out fast so don’t miss your opportunity to not only add to your garden, but also to support a great organization.

Who: Roots to Harvest

What: Selling three types of tomato plants; $5.00 each, or 3 plants for $13.00

When: Thursday, June 2nd from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm

Where: Cafeteria Courtyard

Why: All proceeds supporting Roots to Harvest programming


Three varieties of tomato plants available:

Sub-Arctic Plenty: Early tomato suitable for northern climates. Sub-Arctic Plenty produces an abundance of 2-3” tomatoes, on a strong determinate plant. Early fruiting and more cold tolerant than most tomatoes.

Tiny Tim: A very early growing, bush type cherry tomato perfect for patios, containers, and small gardens. Great flavor and abundant fruit grow on this small, 15” plant.

Mystery Keeper: A long storage tomato that can last several months. Medium size fruit that ripens from the inside out and are slightly more acidic than other tomatoes.
